Details:
This TC analyzes the two-ways relationship between Environment and Humans and aims to foster a more holistic HR approach. The key-concept is to link up aspects seen as interdependent and mutually reinforcing components of sustainable development.
Programme:
During the week we will:

• Link up ourselves to others ? Self assessment and group dynamics;
• Link up our group to other groups ? Intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding;
• Link up all the groups together ? Human Rights: key-concepts and controversial aspects;
• Link up personal actions to universal effects ? Global challenges and personal behaviors;
• Link up Human Rights to Ecology ? Sustainable Development and Environmental Human Rights;
• Link up Anthropocentrism to Environmental Values ? Visit of an Environmental Education Centre;
• Link up Human Rights to Economic growth ? Role play on Rights, Investments and Microcredit;
• Link up Economics to consuming behavior ? Life cycle assessment and human footprint;
• Link up the social to the political sphere ? EU’s policies: visit and debate in a EU Institution;
• Link up our skills and competences ? Open space technology for experiences and best practices;
• Link up knowledge to action ? Campaigning and awareness raising.
Methods:
The course will be mainly based on non-formal education including experiential learning activities which stimulate the interactive and inclusive participation of the participants. However, some theoretical pills and key-concepts will be provided through more academic means. Moreover, the programme includes an on-field visit, a public debate with external experts and a walking tour in the city centre.
Costs:
LINK UP! is officially recognized by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission. The EU Lifelong Learning Programme offers financial support to attend the training: the grant covers all the expenses related to the course: lodgment, board, training and travel costs (“Grundtvig” EU funding schemes).
