Take your pupils to Brussels | YOUR EUROPE YOUR SAY (5 days left to register)

Data: 25/11/2013

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is launching the fifth edition of "Your Europe, Your Say". This event aimed at young people aged 16-17, will take place in Brussels from 26 to 28 March 2014.

We are inviting pupils from the penultimate year of secondary school in the 28 Member States of the European Union for an unforgettable event. It will enable participants to find out about Europe, understand the decision-making process and the EESC's role within the European Union. It will also be a rare opportunity for them to debate a specific subject in a multicultural environment: to put forward arguments, negotiate and find a compromise.

As the European elections are approaching, we will focus on the importance of active citizenship and participatory democracy. Above and beyond the work on this topic, students will be able to discuss many other subjects, talk with other pupils from a whole range of backgrounds, discover new cultures and go home with a lot of memories that they will not forget.

We would therefore warmly invite you to encourage secondary education establishments to register or, if you are a teacher or head teacher in such an establishment, to directly register via our website for this exciting project. The deadline is 30 November 2013.

On our website you will find the description of the event, the electronic registration form, the rules and all the practical arrangements: http://www.eesc.europa.eu/?i=portal.en.your-europe-your-say-2014
