Summary:
9 days training about effective methods of outdoor learning and xperiential education for youth workers will take place in the Czech Republic.The participants will experience, understand and learn to put in action experiential learning.
Target group: Youth workers.
For participants from:
Austria, Belgium - DE, Belgium - FL, Belgium - FR, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Slovak Republic, Turkey.
Group size: 24 participants
Details:
During the full 7 days of the training course, you will:
• experience two days and nights surviving outside on the snow;
• get first hand experience with the programmes, games and activities used in experiential learning;
• understand the theory behind;
• share experience and good practices from your own youth work;
• try out the role of an instructor leading the activity for other participants;
• plan and develop your own project based on the experiential methodology in your home country.
We are looking for participants who:
• work with youth or are interested in youth work using experiential education.
• want to experience sleeping two nights outside on snow.
• we invite both people who have experiences in experiential education or want to get them.
• the age limit is 18+.
• there will be 24 participants from different countries (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Slovakia and Turkey), 2-3 from the same country who speak fluent English.
Winter gears needed for each participant:
• trekking boots, big enough for several pairs of socks, waterproof, thick sole;
• sleeping bag (comfort -20°C) or two sleeping bags;
• 2 foam mattresses (together 1,5 – 2 cms thick).
We will provide accommodation, food and some winter gears. The training course is organized by a non-formal group Czekobanda. The trainers are instructors of Outward Bound. The project is funded by Youth in Action Program.

Expenses:
• Participation fee: 40€. In case of any difficulties with the payment, contact us before.
• Travel expenses: 30% of travel expenses. We will reimburse 70% of travel expensess.
We will provide accommodation, food and some winter gears.
