Summary:
“Creative Entrepreneurship” is a training course, which aims to provide information and knowledge to participants with regard to creativity, entrepreneurship and creative industries.
Target group:
Youth workers, Trainers, Project managers, Creative Economy Professionals & Artists.

Group size: 20 participants
Details:
The main goal of this training course is to assist and connect artists, youth workers, individuals who work in the field of creative industry, with the view to create a platform of cultural experiences and ideas in order to develop their individual capabilities, develop their network and cooperate with cultural economy professionals from different countries. Participants will be provided development strategies that are integrated and built on partnerships between public authorities, cultural organisations, the relevant business interests and representatives of civil society. Creative economy professionals and artists have a key role because they develop ideas, metaphors and messages which help to drive social networking and experiences. Culture-based creativity is a fundamental means for industry and policy decision makers to adopt and implement more user centred strategies. It helps to promote well being, to create lifestyle, to enrich the act of consumption, to stimulate confidence in communities and social cohesion. In this training course, participants will realize through examples and case studies that culture can offer new approaches both in terms of tackling social problems. These policy areas in which culture has successfully helped in this respect include urban regeneration, social cohesion, crime prevention, health and the fight against pollution. By protecting and promoting cultural heritage and creating infrastructure and services, local attractiveness gets enhanced and tourism gets boosted. Each country group will be assigned to study the potential of a city according to their preference and to the city‘s cultural assets, to map the city‘s infrastructure, transportation and communications systems, tendencies of the local society towards creative thinking and innovative entreprises, to make a research on networking and cooperation possibilties among companies, individuals, artists, small innovative entreprises and on the cooperation between the public and private sector, which is a key element for the development of cultural entrepreneurship, not only in terms of funding but also in terms of dissemination of the innovative and creative spirit at local level, to examine tangible and intagible cultural assets of the area and find ways to integrate them with education, natural environment and generally with the city and use them efficiently to boost cultural tourism and entrepreneurship, to examine the available technology of the area - if it can be used more intensively and be further developed in order to implement creative projects – and finally to find ways to attract creative individuals and maintain a supportive environment to creative thinking.
Costs:
70% of travel expenses and 100% board (3 meals/day) & accommodation expenses are covered by Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. No visa costs are covered.
