Click positive is a training course thought to improve skills of youth workers and educators about cyberbullism, to prevent it and also to educate youngsters. If young people need to learn how to express themselves, they also need to know risks and of course how to face it and resist to temptations.This project will start with the experience of Pepita, based on several years of activities and research on the phenomenom, to go deep in risks and also education against cyberbulling, with a focus on sexting, recent habits of many youngsters related to sexually explicit messages and pics, and with a workshop about criminology and laws related to internet use. Pepita is working to a campaign against cyberbullism, doing a lot of activities in schools and youth centers and this can be a useful experience for other NGOs from different countries. Trainers will teach, through practical activities and with meetings with experts. Tools, rules, methods and certainly a messages to share with youth. In every exchanges and youth policies projects, it’s important educate youngsters, but also to help them to become witnesses about safety behaviours.Many NGOs and also many schools and universities are working on media and new media, but youngsters are well prepared on their use, often unfortunately they know functions of those media but they don’t know what it means post some images and some comments, they can not imagine how many people and who can read their messages or see their pictures. They can be in danger, especially when they are minors, because they show very private pictures and give very private informations to not known people, but also usually people can judge them by their behaviour on social networks, or their behaviour watching pictures and read notes on social networks. To sensibilize youth it’s important a campaign, but it’s necessary also education, especially a non-formal education, because it’s a practical activity and also the opportunity to react and understand directly the consequences of an act. This training can give the opportunity to find a common strategy for youth workers and educators to share rules and help youngsters in the use of new media, against the bullism that is running on the net. The message for them is also that dangers from the net can become reality, because behind a computer there is always a person. A correct and healthy behavior can be really the first step to see media as opportunity, to communicate with the world, separating private life with an “active and positive citizenship”.The training will be the first one on this topic, that is very important to stem a big problem that is really widespread between youngsters.
Costs:
Registration fee is 160 euro per person. Travel, visa costs, accommodation and meals must be covered by the participant.Upon participant's request, we can help in finding the best solutions for accomodation in a central position and to give assistance in organizing their staying. Tuition, material and gadgets costs are fully covered.
