Summary:
The participants of the TC will learn about the method of the roleplay simulation games: how to use, how to adapt for the certain leaning purposes, and how to create their own simulation activities based on the local realities.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders.
For participants from: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine.

Details:
The International Training Course “Simulation Games for Teaching Active Citizenship” is designed to help youth leaders and youth workers, trainers and educators to learn how they can use roleplay simulation games to teach youth(especially young people with fewer opportunities) about active citizenship on the local level. Simulation games are the great learning method where participants learn about the “real life” through simplified structured activities. The participants of the TC will learn about the method of the roleplay simulation games: how to use, how to adapt for the certain leaning purposes, and how to create their own simulation activities based on the local realities. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission (Youth in Action Programme).
Aims and Objectives:
• to learn about how youth can be active on the local level and how they can influence the local youth policy;
• to learn about the role-play simulation games method (structure, specifics, usage, adaptation for the certain needs, creation of the games) and how it can be used for teaching young people to be active citizens on the local level;
• to create new role play simulation activities based on the participants’ realities which will be used in future for teaching young people to be active citizens and to influence the decision making processes on the local level.
Costs:
Board and lodging is provided; no participation fee; participants have to cover 30% of their travel costs.
Working language: English.
