Details: Main aim is to explore the topics of SPIRITUALITY, RELIGION, NATURE, secret-sacred with youth workers and trainers from 13 countries. After practical experience we will look at how to use these topics in youth work with tolerance, respect& understanding.
The training course is based on non-formal education and experiential learning. Important part of the experience is being IN nature and WITH nature.
The project will take place in the very south of Czech Republic, in a simple scout center- http://svycarak.vaveha.cz/en/ and will involve 28 participants from 13 different countries (Czech Republic – hosting, Israel, Palestine, Egypt, UK, Ireland,Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Spain, Netherlands, France).
By living in very basic conditions (no electricity, wi-fi or hot water) surrounded by beautiful nature, and by spending lots of time in nature, the invitation is to share spiritual aspects of our lives.
We see the topic of Secret \ Sacred things as common for every human being and every religion, and we want to unfold and discover those little mysterious, but natural and important parts of life.
The idea is for youth workers to experience different things themselves, so that they can use them later on as a multiplier when working with young people and make the topic of spirituality much more comfortable and useful in the framework of working with young people.
The training course aims to tackle topics such as tolerance, inter-religious dialogue, respect for diversity and the fight against racism and xenophobia.
Costs: Project has been funded through the Youth in Action program. 70% iof travel, food, accommodation and VISA costs for Israel, Palestine and Egypt are covered from the grant, participants contribute with 30% of travel costs and a participation fee of 40 Euros.
Working language: English.
