Awards 2015: You can make a difference

Data: 24/12/2014

The Sustainable Energy Europe Awards are back. Launched by the European Commission in 2006, year after year the Awards highlight the very best sustainable energy projects taking place across Europe today.

The Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of outstanding sustainable energy projects, and showcase them as best-in-class practices. This helps to boost replication and inspire new alliances in support of the EU's energy and climate objectives.

Nominees and winners will benefit from communications support and increased visibility to stakeholders, the press and the general public. Articles and videos will present them as innovation leaders and role models in sustainable energy. Winners will be announced in a ceremony to take place in Brussels during EUSEW 2015.

For this 9th edition, the Awards include three categories:
• Renewable energy
• Energy efficiency
• Cities, communitites and regions

Description of the Awards categories

Who can participate? Are eligible private companies, public authorities, energy agencies, NGO’s, cooperatives, chambers of commerce, industry and consumers associations, media, academic institutions and research and technological centres (excluding studies and theoretical research projects without any long-term, real-scale implementation directly linked to renewable energy or energy efficiency). EU-funded projects are encouraged to participate in the competition.
