Objectives are to: to share different practices of work with disadvantaged youth, youth without proper parental care (youth from homes for children), between the partners, to explore different tools of empowering the youth without proper parental care and to develop and practice important skills and competences of participants – youth workers, youth leaders and trainers working with these groups of youth. Throughout the training participants will be engaged in workshops and discussion groups reflecting on youth without proper parental care in their own communities. We will focus on different aspects of the problems they face in different countries of Europe. With this training we wish to share our knowledge, learn new things and broaden our partners’ horizons by working together towards a common goal. We also wish to inspire our participants to take action, design their own projects and reflect on the roles and competences needed by a trainer/facilitator in working with these specific youth groups. A handbook on this topic will be created by participants during the project. Methods used will be standard Outward Bound methods. This includes workshops, teamwork, creative work, teambuilding activities, commitment activities, activities of trust, role plays, imaginary scenarios, problem solving activities and evaluation activities. In the outdoor part of the training different sports and skills will be used as tools of learning through experience, discovering one’s possibilities, facing one’s fears.
