Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, representatives of NGOs and other institutions/organizations.
For participants from: Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russian Federation, Ukraine.
Group size: 24 participants
Details:
Training Course “ACTIVatE through Non-Formal Education” is a course for professional development of youth workers, youth leaders and NGO representatives who are working or would like to work with youth mixed-ability groups.
During the Training Course participants will discover:
• How to organise the mixed-ability (inclusive) youth work based on Non-formal learning approach;
• The values, principles and methods of Non-formal education;
• What is the experiential learning cycle;
• The particularities working with mixed-ability groups of young people;
• Effective tips and hints on how to make NFE activities inclusive;
• The levels of responsibility working with youth groups of mixed ability nature;
• Effective tools and instruments of inclusive Youth worker;
• The realities and best practices of youth work in EU, Eastern Partnership region and Russia;
• The recognition of Non-formal Learning (Youthpass) and different learning instruments.
Participants will also:
• Work practically in international group of participants;
• Get practical experience preparing and running NFE activities for mixed-ability groups;
• Visit local organizations efficiently working in the field;
• Set personal and professional development aims;
• Have an opportunity to develop international projects in the field of youth within and outside Erasmus+ programme.
Profile of participants:
• Youth workers, youth leaders and NGOs representatives working directly with young people (at least for some time) with previous experience of work with mixed-ability groups or without, but having strong dedication to introduce mixed ability approach in the represented organization;
• Interested in development of their organisation/institution and inclusive youth work in their respective city, region, country and Europe;
• Motivated for further professional development;
• Ready to use new experince in their youth work and work of organization;
• Aged - 18+;
• Able to communicate and work in Russian;
• Able to participate in the full duration of the course.
Partners and participants: max 3 participants from each organization / country, all together 24 participants. In order to imply the inclusive approach through the course we await that every partner will compose diverse group, involving both participants with and without physical disabilities and/or health problems (1-2 per country).
Costs:
Project is financed in the frames of the EU Erasmus+ programme (KA1), which means: Food and accommodation will be paid by the Programme, visa cost cover 100% and travel costs will be paid within the limits set by the Erasmus+ programme. Limits for countries: most economic route will be required. For your information some data on limits: Ukraine - 275 Eur, Moldova - 275 Eur, Estonia - 275 Eur, Lithuania - 180 Eur, Russian Federation - 275 Eur/820 Eur (depending on the region), Armenia - 360 Eur, Georgia - 360 Eur. Data is just for your information. Expenses will be agreed individually. Please do not buy tickets before you get confirmation about acceptance and note to buy the tickets! The participation fee for the course is 15 Euro. In individual cases for participants with mobility impairment we will be able to offer financial support for an assistant.
