ARGOMENTO: The aim of the Flash workshops is to provide short and sharp information sessions to potential beneficiaries of the new Erasmus+ programme.

Summary: This flash workshop gives newcomers in the field of Erasmus+ and especially Key action 1, (YOUTH EXCHANGES) an insight into how to set up a high quality youth exchange for and together with young people.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Project managers, Young people linked to organisations interested in organising a youth exchange
For participants from: Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom
Group size: 20 participants
Details: The theme chosen by the UK is Youth Exchanges (Key Action 1). A trainer team from the UK and the Netherlands will prepare a 3.5 day workshop for 20 participants. They will create a coaching programme on key aspects of Youth Exchanges, and address how newcomers to Erasmus+ can get involved in the programme. Examples of topics to be addressed are:
• Comprehensive information on Erasmus+ programme and activities for young people;
• Tools to set up a youth exchange;
• Modes of active participation;
• Intercultural competences;
• The impact and added value of a Youth Exchange;
• Good practice - case studies;
• Meet possible partners;
• Overcoming the "fear" of applications paperwork.
Aim: To better equip participants to be able to organise a successful youth exchange.
Objectives:
• to discover the possibilities offered by Key Action 1 under Erasmus+ (youth mobilities);
• to master the “tricks of the trade” related to setting up a youth exchange;
• to understand the challenges and benefits of intercultural partnerships;
• to encourage new international partnerships among participants.
Costs: This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
