Group size: 32 (4 participants/country) participants
Details: MDS for ETS aims at improving the quality and diversity of youth work and youth projects throughout Europe by elaborating the methodology of Education Through Sports (ETS).
Objectives of the Seminar:
• sharing experiences and practices in ETS;
• identifying areas that need improvement or further development (eg. importance of debriefing, issues of self-evaluation);
• experimenting and developing new methods of ETS;
• recording and disseminating the new methods (e.g. exercises, activities, etc) developed.
Profile of expected participants:
We are looking for trainers, teachers, youth workers and sport coaches who:
• have a good understanding of Education Through Sport,
• have extensive experience in non-formal education for and with young people either in sport for all or in youth work context,
• have expereince in using sport as a tool for developing social skills of young people,
• are ready and motivated to take part in the whole boarding educational activity,
speak fluent English.
Priority will be given to candidates who have already been involved in one of the European educational activities of the ETS community, be it the training of trainers in ETS or other training courses in relation to sport as a tool for social change in Europe.
Costs: There is a participation fee of 40 EUR for all countries. The project is funded by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme, all food and accommodation are covered by the organiser.
Max travel cost to be reimbursed (euros per person): Bulgaria 275;France 275; Hungary 0; Italy 275; Portugal 360; Romania 180; United Kingdom 275.
Working language: English.
