Summary: Youth Watch is a project within a framework of KA3 - Structured dialogue of youth with decision makers. It will gather participants from 4 countries together with decision makers from City of Samobor in order to deliver common recommendations for youth.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Youth Policy Makers.
For participants from: Croatia, France, Italy, Romania.
Group size: 36 participants
Details:
The most relevant topic addressed by this project is youth participation in decision making process on local level. Key problem is low level of inclusion of young people in decision making process, and this project wants to stimulate local authorities to include / motivate young people for active participation in society. This topic will be processed indirectly, by working in groups focused on 4 areas: youth policy, culture, sport / free time and social services for youth on local level. Participants will be divided into groups according to their interests, and each group will be mixed; there will be 2 participants from each country. By presenting how the local self-government function in the key areas, participants will share their knowledge, experiences and views through open dialogue with decision makers. They will explore the City of Samobor, its inhabitants, civil organizations, sport, culture and other stakeholders in order to create a picture of its strong and weak sides. Main goal of this project is to create preconditions for inclusion of young people in decision making process, and we want to achieve that through structured dialogue with local decision makers.
This project consists of 2 parts:
1.
Main project activity will be held in Samobor from 24th until 31st of October 2015;
2. Dissemination conferences in partner countries will be implemented in:
• Romania (Bucharest): 22nd and 23rd of November 2015.
• France (Marseille): 4th and 5th of December 2015.
• Italy (Bologna): 15th and 16th of January 2015.
• there is no dissemination conference in Croatia, only the main project activity which will be held in Samobor, Croatia.
Dissemination conferences will have one-day public event where we want to gather local youth NGOs, representatives of local self-government and citizens in order to discuss recommendations we created in Samobor, and try to find possible solutions on how to implement them in your city. Please have in mind that you are applying only for main project activity in Samobor, and you are expected to attend dissemination conference only in your country.
Costs:
Accommodation and food are fully covered by ERASMUS+ Programme. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to European Comission Distance Calculator and ERAMUS+ guidelines. Croatia 20 Euro; Romania 170 Euro; Italy 80 Euro; France 170 Euro. There will be no participation fee charged.
