Summary: “Making healthy living trendy” is a 2-day seminar focusing in alcohol prevention and healthy lifestyle. The training is linking the Erasmus+ Youth in Action into the field of alcohol prevention for youth.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Youth (18+ years).
For participants from: Bulgaria, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden.
Group size: 15 – 20 participants
Details:
The seminar will motivate youth workers, youth leaders and young people to health and well-being issues. Learning will be done by sharing, discussing and planning various activities. The expert inputs will come from the field of research, media and alcohol prevention. They will give insight to research-based facts, grass root experiences and lifestyle trends. At the end of the seminar every participant will leave home with an idea and draft of an action plan how to make healthy living trendy. “Alcohol is one of the world’s leading health risks; use of alcohol is especially harmful for younger age groups. Europe is the heaviest drinking region of the world. Consumption levels in some countries are around 2.5 times higher than the global average. “Alcohol harm is disproportionately high among young people (115 000 deaths per year) alarmingly 43% among 15-16 year old European students reported heavy binge drinking during the past 30 days and alcohol is the single biggest cause of death among young men of age 16 to 24.”
Aims and objectives
• to acknowledge the risks of alcohol;
• sharing experiences in alcohol prevention work;
• to inspire participants in creating and supporting the Erasmus+ Youth in Action transnational youth initiatives and the mobility of youth workers.
Costs:
This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
