Overall Aim of the Training Course:

In early 2013 YouthStorm carried out a survey in the city of Nevsehir on the topic of social inclusion of minorities and disadvantaged young people in the local community and we found that minorities and disadvantaged people face serious problems when it comes to obtaining education and stable employment, as well as difficulties in integrating in the community’s everyday life. The overall aim of the Training Course is to raise awareness among young people and to create as many active citizens as possible in order to start to bring about solutions and change to this burning issue. Speak Up! Will be the first and most important of a series of activities we have planned in order to start improving the lives of disadvantaged youngsters in our local, national and international levels.
Objectives of the Training Course:
• To train youth workers on the importance of Human Rights and social inclusion.
• To raise awareness on the problems people from disadvantaged backgrounds face.
• To provide practical experience to youth workers in the field of Human Rights and social inclusion.
• To come up with practical and sustainable solutions in order to uphold Human Rights and foster social inclusion in the local, national and international levels.
• To share knowledge, skills, experiences, ideas, best practices and obstacles.
• To promote cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme framework.
• To create a successful professional network among the participants and to promote cooperation between them in the future.
• To enhance intercultural awareness among the participants.
Who can participate?
Participants must be 18 years old and above. There is no upper age limit. Participants must be able to communicate in English, as it will be the working language of the Training Course. Youth workers, trainers, project managers directly working in the area of Human Rights. Participants are expected to actively participate in all program activities and therefore must be able to do so.
Costs:
Food and accommodation will be provided and paid by the organizers. Travel costs of the participants will be reimbursed by bank transfer after the course, based on the travel distance per participant in accordance to the new rules of the Erasmus+ Programme as follows: Lithuania: €275; Turkey: €180; Portugal: €530; Italy: €360, Romania: €275; Croatia: €275; There will be a €40 participation fee. Travel costs means all costs (including visa costs) to get from the participants’ home to the project venue and back to home. The participants will have to bring with them all of their original tickets, receipts and boarding passes and copies of their travel documents (passports, identity cards) as we will collect all of them at the end of the training course. In addition participants are required to send us all of their original return tickets, receipts and boarding passes within 1 week of their departure from the training course otherwise we will not be able to refund them.
