• Administrative Management: In coordination with the Country Administrator, he/she will manage the support costs shared among the projects by ensuring that the PMs referring to Galkayo/Beletwein base respect their shares as per budget and Cost sharing table. • Staff management: Delegated by the Head of Mission – to whom he/she regularly report – he/she is responsible for all general issues linked to the local and expatriate staff management; he/she ensures the correct selection, contracting and management of the local staff, according to the organization’s procedures. He/she supervises monitors and contributes to the evaluation of the expatriate staff. In cooperation with the Project Managers, he/she evaluates the necessity to train the local and expatriate staff, and reports it to the Head of Mission. • Vehicles and spaces management: He/she acts as focal point in the management of vehicles and field offices/offices/guestrooms and houses connected to the field office, ensuring the respect of CESVI and the donor’s procedures. • Institutional relations: In coordination with the Head of Mission he/she promotes and manages relations with the local government institutions and with donors, NGOs and other local partners available in the area. Essential competencies • Nutritionist with Advanced degree in public health or related discipline preferred. Five years of relevant work experience. • Extensive previous experience with integrated health projects (primary health care, nutrition, EPI).Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and management of drugs and medical equipment. • Experience in conduction nutrition surveys (SMART and SQUEAC surveys). • At least one proven community-based management of acute malnutrition ( CMAM) project management experience. • Knowledge of Behaviour Change Communication ( BCC) strategy. • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders. • Proven experience in managing at least 70 local medical/support staff. • Fluency in English (oral and written). Desirable competencies • Previous experience in the management of DG ECHO funded project. • Knowledge of IDP situations. • Familiarity with the Somali context. • Previous experience working in remote control management. • Capability to identify new opportunity of financing for the Health and Nutrition sector. • Ability to deal with Local Authorities and represent Cesvi in high level fora and clusters. • Flexibility and ability to cope with stressful situations. Salary range: 3.000 – 4.000€ gross salary.
