Overall Aim of the Training Course:

The overall aims of the the project are to raise awareness on bullying in general and on cyberbullying in particular, to identify the different types of bullying and the reasons behind them and to find sustainable solutions for bullying in the rapidly globalising contemporary society. This training course aims to raise the participants’ understanding of the results of different kinds of online behaviours, to raise the participants’ European awareness and active citizenship and to provide the participants with all the necessary knowledge and skills in order to come up with and implement sustainable solutions towards bullying in general and cyber-bullying in particular, during and after the training course, having an impact at the European level. The activities that shall be implemented during this training course shall address the issue of bullying in general and cyber-bullying in particular, by employing non-formal and informal education methods. The activities that shall be carried out are expected to have an impact on raising awareness on this issue at the European level. All activities have been designed by Local Heroes in collaboration with all the project partners and the trainers of this training course. The main methods that shall be used are simulations, role-play, seminars, debates, brainstorming, social media campaigns and study visits. In addition, activities aiming to enhance the intercultural learning, to break stereotypes and prejudice and to promote and support the participants’ European awareness and active citizenship shall be carried out. This trainining course aims to enrich the knowledge and skills of the partner organisations involved through enhancing the knowledge and skills of participants of this training course who are working as active volunteers in the partner organisations. This training course aims to raise awareness on bullying at the European level, among international youth organisations through the #NoBully:Social Media Campaign and other activities. Furthermore, through the Flashmob and Study Visits this training course aims to have a positive impact and start to bring about change at the local level. CTRL+ALT+DEL Cyber Bullying, aims to act as an example at the local, national and European level and to encourage the development and implementation of future projects and activities on the issue of Cyberbullying. Through the online report and survey that shall be carried out during this project, we aim to influence and gain the attention of policy makers and other civil society organs, in a way that the outcomes of this project will produce a chain-effect that will enable real change to take place.
Who can participate?
Participants must be 18 years old and above. There is no upper age limit. Participants must be able to communicate in English, as it will be the working language of the Training Course. Youth workers, trainers, project managers directly working in the area of Human Rights. Participants are expected to actively participate in all program activities and therefore must be able to do so.
Costs:
Food and accommodation will be provided and paid by the organizers. Travel costs of the participants will be reimbursed by bank transfer after the course, based on the travel distance per participant in accordance to the new rules of the Erasmus+ Programme as follows: Netherlands: € 360; Turkey: € 180; Greece: € 275; Italy: € 275; Romania: € 275; Poland: € 275; There will be a €40 participation fee. Travel costs means all costs (including visa costs) to get from the participants’ home to the project venue and back to home.
