“Europe’s Youth beyond discrimination” (24.1.2016-31.1.2016) is a project founded by Erasmus +. This training course will gather a total of 32 youth workers from 9-European and neighbour countries to provide a safe space to explore different cultures and establish an effective intercultural dialogue between its participants as well as to explore the connection between the lack of intercultural understanding and the emergence of stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination. Our mission is to promote a culture of peace by empowering activist and youth workers, promoting human rights, dignity, equality and respect of diversity through education, advocacy and other actions through projects at the local and international level. Our training course aims to exchange knowledge and work together to raise awareness regarding the issues discriminated groups such as refugees are confronted with in our societies and in countries at the borders of the EU, such as in Turkey, Greece, Italy, Romania and Germany. The purpose of the project “Europe’s Youth beyond Border” is the promotion of a transnational training course targeting youth workers, teachers and students aiming to: support learners in the acquisition of competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) with a view to improve their personal development.During the training course we will use different methodologies (UNHCR Video material, guest speaker, different non formal methods and reflection that stimulate individual reflection and group work, which aims to raise awareness regarding the issues marginalised groups are confronted in our societies). The participant will discuss about cultural differences, discussions about real-life and political situations in their country, share their view and make suggestion what action they can take to prevent the rise of discrimination in our society.
