Theme and objectives:
The seminar will help youth workers understand in a deeper, more meaningful way the concept of apprenticeship, share their experience, learn from good practice schemes, identify the challenges with regards to the topic etc. and a training that will take place later will help youth workers develop the necessary skills and competencies to be able to bring together the unemployed young people and the local firms and create a successful Apprenticeship Program in their area. We believe that developing high-quality apprenticeship programmes is the best solution to equip young people with the right skills and experience for future employment. The main objective is to empower youth worker raise the employment rate among young people, especially those with fewer opportunities.
Specific objectives
• Support the understanding of the apprenticeship concept and programmes in a deeper, more meaningful way.
• Raise awareness among employers and other social actors of the importance of apprenticeship as a method to increase employability.
• Develop the necessary skills and competencies to be able to bring together the unemployed young people and the local firms and create a successful Apprenticeship Program.
• Improving the way of operating towards their target group in the 3 partner organisations: CREED Romania, Capacity London and Building Bridges.
Conditions of participation: English – conversational level.
Age: minimum 18.
Costs:
Travel costs will be completely covered as long as they do not exceed the unit costs determined by the European Commission for UK (275 Euro ) and Spain (360 Euro). There is no travel reimbursement for the participants from Romania. Costs of accommodation and food will be covered by CREED Romania. No participation fee will be charged.
