Details:
This training course is a learning-by-doing experience and participants will engage in practical activities to develop their competences on how to use non-formal education methods in relation to their everyday life from both, personal and professional perspectives. Some focus points in the programme will be: personal development workshops, personal values, happiness, experiential learning, goal-setting and leadership, interpersonal communication, various management and self-analysis techniques, including stress management, critical thinking and decision making. The event is designed for trainers, facilitators, youth workers, youth leaders, teachers, volunteers, staff members working with non-formal education and willing to get practical tools for own personal and professional development, as well as ready to take on a role of a life coach at their workplace. Participants need to be over 18, have a good command of the English language and be ready to engage in interactive educational activities.
The objectives of the training course are to:
• Develop participants’ competences in using non-formal education in youth work, focusing on personal and professional development.
• Create and share non-formal education methods focused on the topics of life skills and personal development. Explore the topic of personal and professional development in youth work and share knowledge and experiences related to it among the participants.
The event will be held in Barcelona, in the beautiful environment of Natural Park of Collserola at INOUT Hostel, it belongs to a non-profit organization whose mission is the integration of people with disabilities, which form the professional staff who work there; almost the 90% of the staff. The training course “Non-formal Education and Life Skills” is part of the multi-measure project “Knocking on NFE’s Door”, implemented by a consortium of partners from: France, Italy, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom and Sweden. The overall aim of the project is to gain a better understanding of how non-formal education works in different fields of youth work. We also want to create and share methods in order to improve the quality of youth work, focusing on these three main topics: Active Participation, Environment and Life Skills.
Costs:
Maximum travel costs to be reimbursed from each country to the venue: France 180 €; Italy 275 €; Romania 360 €; Sweden 275 €; Spain 0 €; United Kingdom 275 €. Accommodation and food will be provided. There's no participation fee.
