Summary: The overall aim of NICE Mates is to support the target group to implement qualitative projects through the development of participants’ competences to manage and report Strategic partnerships in the field of youth.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Project managers, those who have had the projects granted in KA2 and also their partners.
For participants from: Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme countries.
Group size: 25 – 30 participants

N.I.C.E Concept

N.I.C.E - New Intervention with Creative Education is a contribution Training Scheme to Support Erasmus+ Youth in order to empower young persons and Youth organizations to develop Erasmus + projects and promote the recognition of Non Formal Education and Its role in EU 2020 Strategy N.I.C.E is Non Formal Education for Erasmus + Empowerment. The current proposal was defined after a strong SWOT analysis of Erasmus+ Programme and after designed with support of a SMART evaluation. The result of this creative process was the need to find answers and approaches in order to achieve Horizontal and Vertical strategies to truly empower the Erasmus+ training scheme. The N.I.C.E TC Concept brings innovation on the practice of Non Formal Education and present 3 Blocs of trainings that will empower the work of Youth Organizations on Erasmus+ Key Actions, on Non Formal Education and in the framework of 2020 main objectives. N.I.C.E Concept is also based on the development of a weekly challenge simulation with a long LARP (Life Action Role Play) where participants are invited to “LIVE” the KA2 Challenges proposed by N.I.C.E Mates. This training course is addressed to coordinators or partners of granted KA2 Strategic partnership projects for participants who are project coordinators, staff or youth leaders working directly with ongoing or finished Strategic partnership Projects.
Further on the training course targets those who are:
• Interested in developing their management and reporting competences
• Willing to work on the quality of their international projects
• Able to use English as a working language.
The overall aim is to support the target group to implement qualitative projects through the development of participants’ competences to manage and report Strategic partnerships in the field of youth.
The general objectives of N.I.C.E Mates TCA are:
• To help the participants understand the importance of the partnership as a quality element for the project implementation;
• To explore different project management instruments and increase their ability to design own instruments;
• To explore the role and the challenges of the intellectual outputs, exchange of Good Practices and multiplier events;
• To discuss qualitative and quantitative indicators for project activities;
• To explore the reporting criteria and consider those project elements that have to be monitored during the project’s lifespan;
• To offer a space for peer learning among experienced project workers;
• To offer support during the project implementation and reporting through individual coaching sessions.
The specific objectives of N.I.C.E Mates TCA are:
• Erasmus + Youth in Action KA2 Framework;
• Youth in Action Mapping Experiences;
• New Possibilities inside KA2;
• Priorities and Work Methodology;
• Project Concept;
• Partnership Building;
• From Partnership to Strategy;
• From Strategy to Responsibility.
N.I.C.E Mates will focus on specific activities of the strategic partnerships as project management, transnational project meetings, intellectual outputs, multiplier events or training, teaching and learning activities from the perspective of transversal activities as project and budget monitoring, quality and relevance to the objective as well from a risk management perspective and will answer to questions as: How do to ensure a strong and functional partnership? When and how to include intellectual outputs, exchange of Good practices and multiplier events? After the training course the participants will be able to receive support through their project management and reporting phase with the purpose of increasing the quality of the implemented Strategic partnerships projects around Europe.
