Summary: “EvsMOTIONS” is second activity from our long term project “VOLUNTEERING GOES EUROPE" With this training course we aim to ensure quality standards within network of organizations working with European Voluntary Service (EVS).
Target group: Youth workers, EVS mentors/tutors.
For participants from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey.
Group size: 24 participants
Details:
Our experience shows that EVS mentors/tutors/facilitators need to have more skills and knowledge how to give support to the volunteers, especially in a context of emotional management and stress relief. This training will be chance to develop their competences, especially in context of - learning to learn – philosophy that will enable them to deliver of better quality support within their future work.
The objectives of this training course are:
• To empower mentors/tutors/facilitators to be aware of their own difficult-to-handle fillings that arise during their work with EVS volunteers with fewer opportunities;
• To learn ways to self-assess and develop own emotional competencies;
• To introduce the concept of emotional intelligence and its relevance for professional and personal development;
• To develop and to integrate the L2L competences from a perspective of emotional management in the work with EVS volunteers;
• To develop the self awareness regarding his/her own limits, character & personality and its impact on the EVS mentoring/facilitating process and learning preferences.
Profile of participants
This activity is designed for staff (mentors/tutors/facilitator) from partner organizations who will be directly working with the EVS volunteers for more skills and knowledge how to give support EVS volunteers in a context of emotional management and stress relief.
Costs:
Costs for accommodation, food and programme activities are covered fully. According to the rules within the Programme “Erasmus+ Youth in Action” we will reimburse the travel costs on the basis of the cheapest possibilities, e.g. second class railway tickets, APEX-flights etc., accompanied by the receipt of complete and original tickets, invoices, bills, receipts, boarding cards etc. upon a certain “contribution to the travel costs of participants, from their place of origin to the venue of the activity and return”. This contribution is “based on the travel distance per participant. Travel distances must be calculated using the distance calculator supported by the European Commission”. Travel reimbursement will be done after the meeting by bank transfer. The contribution is as follows: Albania 275; BiH 275; Italy 275; Germany 275; Macedonia 275; Montenegro 275; Poland 275; Romania 275; Serbia 275; Spain 275; Sweden 275; Turkey 275; Iceland 530. Further a fee of EUR 45 is charged for participation in the seminar. The amount is paid in cash by the participant on the spot (arrival day, registration and check in).
