Essential requirements
• University degree;
• Strong experience in Environment, Rural Development, Climate Change Adaptation, WASH;
• Minimum 6 years’ of proven management experience in leading the development of and ensuring successful delivery of programme strategy within a development and/or humanitarian context;
• Experience/knowledge of main Donors (UE, UN, Multi Donor Trust Funds, KfW, GIZ, DFID);
• Proven experience in project writing (from assessment to final presentation);
• Experience with NGO procedures, approaches and operations;
• Strong communication and diplomatic skills, and demonstrate experience in networking and build effective partnerships;
• Proven experience in personnel management, and in capacity building of National/International staff;
• Proven capacity in manage Donors’ relations and in support and guide the development of proposals, and funds acquisition;
• Strategic thinking and innovation;
• Highly flexible, team-player and motivated;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken);
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel.
Desirable requirements
• University degree in geology, forestry, natural sciences, environment protection, rural development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Central Asia region.
• Strong computer skills in Autocad.
