Summary: This event is the official international launch of an innovative competence framework with educational guidelines for youth workers & educators to further an understanding of peace education in a more holistic, multidisciplinary and transformative way.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Educators.
For participants from: Germany, Latvia, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom.
Group size: 50 participants.

This event is the official international launch of an innovative competence framework with educational guidelines for youth workers, educators and leaders to further their understanding of peace education in a more holistic, multidisciplinary and transformative way.
The main aims are:
• To share and disseminate the Mainstreaming Peace Education: Competence Framework and Educational Guidelines (MPE CF & EG);
• To gather active people who consider themselves to be cultivating a culture of peace;
• To provide an interactive platform for networking opportunities.
The project responds to needs of young people and youth organisations working with non-formal education in the youth sector.
Project objectives:
• Developing a Peace Education Competence Framework including knowledge, skills and attitudes and requiring evaluation indicators, assessment methods as well as educational guidelines for achieving the competences.
• Increasing the recognition of peace education by linking the Framework with the Youthpass and Europass certification system.
• Increasing the quality of peace education activities in the youth sector.
Costs:
Accommodation for the evening of the 24th October will be provided free of charge.
Travel Budget
Each participant reimbursed up to a maximum of:

UK - 60 Euro; Germany - 110 Euro; Netherlands - 110 Euro; Latvia - 110 Euro; Turkey - 140 Euro + up to 100 euros for any VISA related costs.
