ARGOMENTO: The aim of project is to widen the perspectives of youth leaders on conflict management and interreligious dialogue in a peacebuilding context through exchanging experiences and analysing concepts using non formal education for youth work.

Summary: The aim of project is to widen the perspectives of youth leaders on conflict management and inter-religious dialogue in a peacebuilding context through exchanging experiences and analysing concepts using non formal education for youth work.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth Policy Makers.
For participants from: Azerbaijan, France, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey.
Group size: 30 participants.
Details:
A culture of peace will be achieved when citizens of the world understand global problems, have the skills to resolve conflicts and struggle for justice non-violently, live by international standards of human rights and equity, appreciate cultural diversity, and respect each other.
The following concrete objectives have been set in order to reach the aims described above:
• Build the skills of youth workers, leaders and multipliers on the importance of intercultural dialogue and peacrbuilding in preventing religious and political extremism;
• Provide educational support and time for the participants to share and reflect about their own experiences and knowledge in the field of inter-religious dialogue;
• Share & equip participants with tools and knowledge about peace promotion and grass root peacebuilding to be implemented in local communities;
• Promote values of mutual understanding, tackle socio-cultural perceptions, opinions and attitudes to ethnic-religious differences;
• Showcase the role of youth work in contributing for sustainable peace, tolerant society and entice participants to develop future projects to disseminate the outcomes of the project.
The notion "think globally, act locally" is central to educating for a culture of peace in that it links theory with practice and international issues to individual efforts. The project offers a space for youth workers, youth leaders, trainers and peace builders for mutual learning and education on peace advocacy along with a comparative on peace education practices in a dialogical intercultural approach.
Costs:
Accommodation and meals are provided by the hosting organization. The travel costs are reimbursed up to the following limits: Sweden 360€; Azerbaijan 820€; Turkey 530€; Palestine 820€; Jordan 820€; Portugal 0€; Morocco 275€; France 275€; Tunisia 275€; Italy 275€. Visa costs are reimbursed up to 60€ The participation fee is 35€.
