Summary: The project “Home" promotes and supports the role of young people in activities that contribute to dialogue through a network of specifically trained young people who promote the values of the European citizenship in communities facing refugee crises.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Young people from the IDP families, who has motivation for intercultural learning & understanding.
For participants from: Armenia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Russian Federation, Ukraine.
Group size: 35 participants
Details:
By December 2015, around 1 million of people was entering the EU and neighboring countries either escaping conflict or searching of safety and better life. Youth work is readily engaging with refugee related issues/conflict, whether because the participants are dealing with different kinds of related issues or because it takes place in conflict regions that was or is hosting refugees or people leave the country as refugees. The project “Home" has 2 activities: Training Course in Armenia and Study Visit in Luxembourg. Training Course "Home" will take place in Yerevan, Armenia from the 2nd to the 9th of February 2017.
Objectives of the TC are:
• To develop competences of participants in human rights promotion and protection, intercultural dialogue;
• To promote the presence and the role of young people as positive actors of change in inclusion processes;
• To strengthen the role of youth workers and youth NGOs in identifying and speaking up against human rights violations through the video tools created by participants;
• To support the field presence of the European Commission in order to promote the values behind the institution;
• To develop competences of 30 youth workers and youth leaders related to work with refugees.
Participants profile:
The participants will be youth workers, youth leaders and professionals involved in education and/or training, volunteers working with young people and young leaders that meet the following criteria:
• Language and communication skills;
• Ability to implement activities in their local community;
• The need to improve skills and competences relating to the topic of the project;
• Willingness to cooperate and develop future projects in Erasmus +;
• The role/ involvement with Youth Work and the sending organization.
The age of the participants should be higher than 20.

Travel budget

Country - Max. reimbursement per participant: Russian Federation - 275 Euro; France - 530 Euro; Italy - 360 Euro; Hungary - 360 Euro; Luxembourg - 530 Euro; Georgia - 30 Euro; Ukraine - 275 Euro; Czech Republic - 360 Euro; Armenia - 0; Participation fee: 50 Euro (will be deducted from your travel cost).
Travel costs and reimbursements
The reimbursement of the travel expenses (travel from your departure city to the venue of the project) will be made by bank transfer for all participants except those coming from Georgia, Ukraine and Russian Federation.
