Summary:
This 4 day residential study visit is aimed at organisations or staff who are new to EVS or organisations with some experience. The format will include visits to organisations with experience of EVS and there will be workshops on specific areas of quality.
Target group: Youth workers, Project managers, EVS mentors/tutors, EVS Coordinators.
For participants from: Denmark, Ireland, Poland.
Group size: 20 participants
Details:
We are pleased to announce an international event taking place in Galway, Ireland from 20th-23rd April 2017 (inclusive). This event is open to participants from Ireland, Denmark and Poland, and will provide a great opportunity to visit a number of local organisations. The programme will also include workshops on specific areas of quality e.g. Mentoring, Working with Partners, Managing Risk and Youthpass. It will also be a great opportunity for networking and even partner-finding!
The overall objectives of this activity are:
• To support the overall quality of EVS projects;
• To support newcomers to EVS;
• To explore how EVS is implemented within diverse environments and to demonstrate the overall impact that EVS projects have on organisations and individual young people.
By the end of the study visit, participants will have a better understanding of best practice in EVS projects and be in a position to complete a funding application.
Costs:
This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme TCA 2016. Being selected for this course, all costs relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the Irish NA involved - except for a participation fee of €65 for participants from Ireland.
