We are Batman Youth Culture Association from Batman /Turkey and we need two partners from EU countries NGO. We are working on a Art and Culture Grant Project. We are looking for partners for Civil Society Dialogue II:
The overall objectives of
- To ensure a better knowledge and understanding of Turkey within the European Union, including Turkish history and culture, thus allowing for a better awareness of the opportunities and challenges of future enlargement.
- To ensure a better knowledge and understanding of the European Union within Turkey, including the values on which it is founded, its functioning and its policies.
Specific objectives of:
- Establishment of long-term cooperation, partnerships and networking among the civil societies of Turkey, EU counterparts and other Candidate Countries on Culture and Arts.
- Promoting cultural dialogue and understanding among the civil societies of Turkey, EU counterparts and other Candidate Countries on Culture and Arts.
We are preparing a project financed by The Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) on behalf of the Republic of Turkey and financial assistance of the EU from the 2007 Programming under Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).
The project will be held in Batman/south-east region of Turkey and in the partner countries where the partner associations are located.
Theme of the Project:
The project aims to empower members of the civil society (NGOs) to enhance civic participation at local, regional, national and European levels through art and cultural activities that will promote more efficient and fruitful cooperation and dialogue and help to overcome possible cultural prejudices between Turkey and European Countries. In order to create a powerful dialogue and mutual understanding between civil NGOs of Turkey and NGOs from EU, the inclusion of the project’s metodology will be based on photo taking and taking photo implementation through helding an exhibition in the host and participant country at the end of photo taking training and additionally an exhibition by all the collected photos taken on reflection figures of all the civil societies.That will bring all the civil societies together and also create opportunities for NGO to enjoy diversity and to learn to see things through different lenses. Our project environment is a place where young people will interact with people from different groups, with whom they otherwise never would have been in contact. These positive experiences with ‘other people’ provide them with valuable life skills for modern society with all the diversity it entails.
Objectives:
- Provide a voice for Civil Society;
- Promote equality;
- Help young people to be more involved in civil society dialogue that affect their lives;
- Advance young people’s participation in society and civic life.
- Promote informal-learning;
- To ensure a better knowledge and understanding of between the NGOs;
- Sharing experiences and eliminate the prejudices between the cultures.
Project will include workshops, exhibitions, panel and similar art-related activities, circulation of art collections, exchange of knowledge regarding photo exhibitions, awareness raising activities, creation of short films and other relevant activities. All the activities are constructed to increase awareness of other cultures and use the settings of tolerance and be able to act in diversity.
