Youth Union of Public Movement Multinational Georgia is seeking partner organizations (from CoE countries) to submit a project for at European Youth Foundation. The Union is non-profit, non-governmental umbrella organization which unites youth organizations and young people from different ethnic communities living in Georgia. To fight against prejudices and promote building equal dignity for harmonic development of multicultural society based on diversity and inclusion.
Objectives:
- To bring together ethnic Georgian and ethnic minority children and give opportunity to express meaning and idea of cultural diversity in creative way, particularly by drawing;
- To give psychological account to children’s drawings and explore their imagination about multiculturalism and multiethnic Caucasus;
- To find out whether ethnic Georgian children demonstrate prejudices towards ethnic non-Georgian children as well as if minority children feel to be treated in stereotypical way and deal with discrimination or social exclusion;
- To reflect on the approaches that can be used while working with children in order promote tolerant atmosphere and spirit of respect among different nations and confessions;
- To share elaborated methodology with wider public, particularly with specialists working with children.
Themes:
The publication will be divided into three main components:
- Drawings on the topic: “Diversity around me“
- Psychological account given to the drawings by psychologists
- Elaborated methodology “ Learning to live together” for specialists working with children
Three international partners will take part in preparation and implementation of the project. Please send a signed letter describing the rationale and added value of working together to the email.
