Main subject
In general to make new contact for future partnership between NGOs from member states and Greece and Eastern Europe – Caucasus area in the field of EVS, Youth Exchanges and Seminars. Also focused critically analyse the concept(s) of citizenship and it’s implications for young people. Ascertain young people’s perceptions of citizenship and determining factors. Identify what strategies could be utilised to advance empowering concept(s) of citizenship amongst young people. Comparing situations – strategies: E.U. and Eastern Europe – Caucasus area.
Training issues
• What does the word “citizenship” mean to young people?
• How do young people relate to the concepts of citizenship – are perceptions of citizenship limited to political citizenship or other notions of citizenship?
• What is the level of historical/theoretical knowledge of citizenship among young people?
• What are young people’s experiences of citizenship and how do they relate to perceptions of citizenship?
Participants
1) All candidates NGOs must apply using the enclosed PARTIII form. This form should be sent directly to the Organizer no later than 28th of September 2012.
2) Partners selection results will be announced on 5th of October 2012 and only selected participants will be contacted. Due to the large number of applications expected, the organizer are not in a position to confirm candidates for the seminar. Accepted NGO’s will receive all relevant documents in advance by e-mail.
3) It’s possible to participate NGO’s ONLY from E.U. countries and: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
4) Each NGO participates with one (1) person with NOT any exception.
5) Participants don’t have any age limit (but it have to be greater than 18 years old).
6) All the participants will be supposed have experience in the Youth work.
Practical info’s
• The Seminar will be hosted in the region of Athens (or superb areas).
• English will be the working language. Participants must have sufficient understanding of English.
• Participation fee are 50 Euro per person and it will be deducted from the reimbursement.
• VISA costs (if any) and other related costs covered 100%.
• Youth in Action cover the 70% of the travel cost and 100% hotel, food, local transports etc.
• Organizer is responsible for all the activities and costs, for this reason partners don’t have any preparation or partner activity cost.
