Target group:
Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, EVS mentors/tutors, are over 18, speak English and are willing to be an active participant during the entire course duration.
For participants from:
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Georgia, Italy, Moldova, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine.
Group size: 25 participants.

Promotion and exploration of active youth participation in various different fields of social and community life.
What will happen?
Six training days in which we will live and learn together, in order to:
• understand the multiple forms activism can take (volunteering, philanthropy, responsible behaviour towards the environment, political activism, etc);
• stimulate youth to take initiative and come together for their common goals;
• discuss common European values and how they can be made concrete in youth projects;
• discover and try out new alternative methods of youth stimulation and involvement in their communities;
• find, share and improve methods of non-formal education used by all participants;
• create an interactive learning and reflection group of youth workers that will afterwards lay the foundations for future co-operations in Youth in Action projects.
Who? YOU! If you:
• are a youth worker or youth leader;
• are interested in non-formal education, volunteering, active participation and the mix between them all;
• have a minimal experience within the Youth in Action program;
• want to become more professional, more ready and able to improve youth work;
• believe in values such as: involvement, social responsibility, sense of belonging to a community, youth active participation, early education and the power of group action;
• are over 18, speak English and are willing to be an active participant during the entire course duration.
Methods?
We will of course use methods specific to non-formal education and learning, both individual and group methods, taking into consideration participants' needs.
Some examples can be:
• Group work;
• Workshops;
• Debates;
• Role-plays;
• Local community contacts;
• Open space;
• Reflection;
• Treasure hunt;
• Theatre forum;
• Presentations.
Costs:
According to the rules of YIA Programme, YiA covers 100% of accommodation/food, activity and visa costs, and 70% of travel costs (reimbursed ONLY by bank transfer, once we have received the original tickets, boarding passes and original invoices, after your return home). PARTICIPANTS cover 30% of their own travel costs. (no participation fee). Please contact your organisation or the organising organisation (contact details further down) to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
