Target group: Youth workers For participants from: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of, Romania, Serbia Group size: 36 participants. Details: Purpose of this training: Training “Youth entrepreneurship = youth employment” is intended for youth workers active, or those who wish to become active in youth self-employment field, and also for those youth workers who need support in their self-investment in personal skills and knowledge, establishment of cross-border cooperation partnerships and raise of pro-activeness of their organizations in the field of youth entrepreneurship development. This 6-day training (excluding travel days) is going to be organized in City of Leskovac, Serbia. We are organizing this training because we want to help development of the quality of support systems for youth interested in entrepreneurship and strengthen the cross-border cooperation capacities of organizations from the region to work in this area. We also want to promote cross-border cooperation in the field of youth entrepreneurship development and promotion and to use this project also as a partnership-building chance that will bring networking between participants’ organizations in area of self-employment in order to later create mutually supportive and efficient infrastructure in the region. Active participation, group-work and teamwork, as well as theoretical inputs will feature the program of the TC and these working methods will result in participants being able to demonstrate excellent understanding of all possible measures for supporting youth self-employment and, by being able to competently talk about this topic, engage into discussion with decision and policy makers concerning advancement of youth entrepreneurship, thus creation of new jobs. Moreover, they will be able to more effectively self-analyze their personal capacity and more willing to advocate their governments to support development of new youth entrepreneurship policies. The training course will bring together 36 youth workers/activists from Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary. The project targets young men and women who are working on youth employment issues within their organizations, or want to start working on youth employment projects. Venue: Training will be hosted at Hotel “Gros” in Leskovac. Accommodation and food costs are covered by the organizer. There are no fees for participants! Leskovac is easily accessible and is on the route of largest railroad and highway routes in Serbia. The city is ~280km south of Belgrade and ~40km south of Nis. All participants will have to come to Leskovac in their own arrangement, usually by bus or train. 70% of total travel costs incurred will be reimbursed. Travel costs reimbursement will only be possible in the amount of presented bus/train tickets! Participants are strongly encouraged to buy return tickets whenever possible. More specific info concerning all logistical issues will be given to selected participants. Selection notification is expected by October 9th 2012, at the latest. Costs: Accommodation and food costs are covered by the organizer. There are no fees for participants! 70% of total travel costs incurred will be reimbursed.
