East-West Youth Expo: Hosting is a project related to the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the seminar and exhibition of organizations in Europe and the Asian part of Turkey, working with volunteers. 30 representatives from 9 European countries: Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, UK, Hungary, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and some of the Asian part of Turkey, will participate in the four-day seminar-exhibition that will be held in Sofia from 4 to 7 April, 2013. The aim is to create a platform for discussion and exchange of best practices for working with volunteers and provide opportunities for engagement and recruitment of volunteers in the participating countries. The topics that will be discussed at the workshop include: volunteering as a way to deal with the social problems of small towns - such as high unemployment, lack of narrow specialists, social and cultural isolation and more. Will perform internal rules and standards for working with volunteers, how search, how to negotiate, work and retain volunteers, what are the options for financing projects for volunteer service. Participants will also present their organizations and regions and their capacity to involve volunteers.
Costs:
The project is financed from EU - YiA, 4.3. Seminars and will cover:
• 70 % from transport expenses;
• full board catering;
• accommodation;
• working materials and exhibition place and conditions.
Working language: English.
