Summary:
The title of the meeting originated from the name attributed to the Mediterranean Sea by the Islamic World; Our Middle Sea and the by Romans; Mare Nostrum.
Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Former participants of previous "Our White Sea" event who would like to share projects they have realised.
For participants from: Mediterranean Partner Countries, in Action Programme Countries.
Group size: 40 participants

The meeting is an unique opportunity to meet with colleagues in youth field from programme and Meda countries, to discover and discuss the challenges of NGOs cooperation within EuroMediterranean framework, to assess 5 years of "Our White Sea" and to celebrate 10 years of EuroMed Youth Platform. Networking between organizations should be encouraged in order to proffer young people with opportunities to actively participate; thus stimulating initiative, innovation and entrepreneurship. Therefore, the event shall generate an environment to facilitate NGOs networking that supporting NGO capacity building in region.
Aims and objectives:
1. To explore issues and challenges of NGOs in euromed framework;
2. Better understanding of the approaches to Youth Participation in NGOs and Associations ;
3. Sharing of good practice amongst NGO to stimulate opportunities for participation;
4. Facilitating the networking process among participants with the aim of promoting new projects.
Methodology:
The methodology will provide participants the possibility to tackle the content with the support of experts and experienced people. This will also serve as a vehicle to facilitate the sharing of experiences between participants. The working programme will consist of:
• Plenary sessions;
• Workshops led by participants and trainers;
• Active participation;
• Open market.
Costs:
EuroMed Youth Platform will cover boading and loading of all participants; EuroMed Youth Platform will cover travel cost of Meda participants; National Agencies of Youth in Action Programme will cover the travel costs of selected participants.
Working language: English.
