Summary: The University Scholars Leadership Symposium aims to train young leaders to do their own Humanitarian Work in their own local communities. Target group: Youth workers, Youth leaders, Youth Workers. For participants from: Neighbouring Partner Countries, Others, Youth in Action Programme Countries. Group size: 100 participants Details: Humanitarian Affairs welcomes anyone aged between 18 to 30 years old. Any graduate or young professional who wishes to learn about Humanitarian initiatives is encouraged to join the Symposium. In the symposium, participants will get a chance to interact and discuss global issues with over 1,000 young leaders from different parts of the globe. Moreover, they will have an opportunity to learn and be more equipped to help through workshops by 12 world-renowned Expert Humanitarians. Some of them namely: CNN Hero of the Year 2011, Robin Lim CNN Hero of the Year 2012, Pushpa Basnet Hands Across the Water, UK's, Peter Baines and a lot more! Lastly, they will be given a chance to see and experience the lives of marginalized communities in the Philippines through the Learning Journey. Costs: The registration fee is USD 750 (Per Head for the Group of 3 and above) inclusive of: • 6-night Accommodation on a twin-sharing basis; • Local Transportation during Official Activities; • Meals include 6 Breakfasts, 5 Lunches and 8 Coffee Breaks; • An Enriching Interactive Experience; • Inspiring Guest Lecturers; • Knowledge-based Plenary Discussions; • One Souvenir T-shirt; • Certificate of Participation; • Networking Opportunities.
