Let's promote and integrate the concept of European citizenship through the social theater as a tool to improve skills of youth leaders and workers in youth organisation.

For participants from: Youth in Action Programme Countries.
Group size: each of 9 organizations we invite 2 participants.
Details:
The Federation of Entities for the Codevelopment and International Cooperation - FEDACOD, invites you to be a part of a project to promote European Citizenship. It will take place in Valencia (Spain), from 15 to 21 September 2013.
Objective is to promote and integrate the concept of European citizenship through the social theater as a tool to improve skills of youth leaders and workers in youth organisation.
During the course, participants:
• will learn how to use the art of theater as a mechanism of social sensibilisation and education, in the specific case, the expression of European citizenship rights through the theater;
• will share experiences and good practices for the promotion of an active citizenship;
• will be part of initiatives that promote cultural diversity, through outdoor activities where participate young Europeans, immigrant groups from Valencia (Spain) and the general public;
• will create new social projects through the Youth in Action Program.
Our methods:
We will work through non-formal education, with various methodological techniques, such as social theater, group dynamics, panels, discussions, workshops, cultural exchanges and outdoor music workshops.
Our target group is:
Members of youth organizations, leaders and workers in the field of youth. We are looking for the participation of two persons belonging to an organization established in one of the member countries of the European Union (We will select organisations from 9 countries out of all countries who apply). Please spread this information to potential beneficiaries. From each organization we invite 2 participants. When we get to know you and your organisation we will ask you to sing agreement of participation.
Costs:
Accommodation and lodging covered by 100% by the Youth in Action Programme. Travel expenses covered by 70% at the start of the project, and 30% to be repaid at the end of the project.
Working language: English.
