Summary:
“Creative approaches for you(th)” is a training course for youth leaders and youth workers who want to use elements of art in their work.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Project managers.
For participants from: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Spain, Ukraine.
Group size: for 30 participants, 3 per country participants.
Details:
The aim - to widen usual view of arts as a tool in youth work that has an extremely positive impact on youngsters. “Creative approaches for you(th)” is a training course for youth leaders and youth workers who want to use elements of art in their work. The significance of the seminar is not just in participants’ professional growth through creative approaches methods but in involvement and encouragement for movement and active participation of Ukrainian youngsters through art and non-formal learning. The seminar will be held in 31.08-08.09.2013 in Odessa region, Ukraine. The Seminar will gather 30 youth leaders from 10 different countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The main objectives:
• professional growth of participants;
• implementation of practical workshops based on creative tools as art, music, dance, theatre;
• involvement of around 100 Ukrainian youngsters and introduction of non-formal learning methods;
• creation of Hand book with creative approaches methods, dissemination among youth workers;
• sharing the knowledge about best practices of art methodology in partners countries through internet and printed press;
• new partners and contacts from other countries.
The seminar will be facilitated by an experienced team of trainers using NFE methods as workshops, info sessions, music, outdoor activities, games, evaluations, theatre, group activities, etc. Through the art youngsters can do something unconventional and creative, play the role, which may not be performed in daily life, express themselves in their own way, what requires a lot of skills and confidence, the ability to maintain good relationships, ability to work in team, to tolerate other people and be a good communicator. Benefits of using art in youth work are that the youngsters will develop themselves through arts, and eventually in the whole community can be created more safe and supportive environment.
Costs:
The training course will be implemented in the frame of the EU Youth in Action Programme. Accommodation, food and activities are fully covered by the organizers. The organisers will reimburse 70% of participants' travel costs (cheapest mean of transportation, only economy class, no taxi, under the agreed budget) upon presentation of original tickets, invoices and boarding tags.
Working language: English, Russian in advantage.
