Summary:
This international seminar is aimed at exploring the diversity of educational practices supporting the quality in youth field - from formal to non-formal education settings in their various levels.
Target group:
Trainers, Youth Policy Makers, connected to education and training for youth field actors in Europe: teachers and lecturers, curricula responsibles, organisers of trainings, institutions & umbrella organisations from the fields of education & training, reresearches
For participants from:
Austria, Belgium - FL, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom.
Group size: 65 participants
Details:
The seminar offers a platform for different stakeholders to meet and discover the role and contributions of these practices to the development of quality in youth field. Also to share the most exciting practices as well as to discuss the ideas for future actions needed for further developments.
Hence the seminar seeks to answer:
What, how, why, when and where is provided to educate the actors of youth field – in formal and non-formal environments - to contribute to the quality of youth field?
Objectives:
• To frame and explore the key challenges of the youth field, from grassroots to European levels;
• to explore the role and potential of educating and training youth field actors in support of quality and capacity building in the youth field;
• to share realities and practices in different countries, taking into account the specifics and potentials of formal and non-formal settings in education and training;
• to provide opportunities for mutual learning and developing ideas for future co-operation across contexts and levels;
• to look for ways to support personal and professional development of people involved in education and training in youth field with support from European programmes and beyond.
The diversity of the group of participants in terms of their backgrounds and educational approaches is one of the intrinsic values of the seminar. We would especially like to welcome participants who:
• are ready to share some innovative educational practices supporting the quality of youth field;
• have launched educational projects and/or introduced systematic approaches towards youth field actor’s training through co-operation between formal education and non-formal training;
• are interested in expanding their international networks in the field of education and training.
The programme of the seminar will start in the afternoon 14th of October and departures are planned from the morning of 17th of October. The programme will include thematic inputs, debates and discussions, workshops for sharing inspiring practices and cultural programme. Costs:
The respective sending National Agencies are expected to cover the travel costs of the selected participants from their countries to the venue. The organisers will cover the programme costs of the seminar, incl. accommodation and meals for all selected participants. Please contact the Youth in Action National Agency (NA) in your country to learn more about the financial details and rules for travel arrangement. There is no participation fee requested by organisers, but it might be asked by your resepctive sending NA. If you come from a country other than listed in the category "The training is aimed at participants from", please contact the host NA for further information about the financial details. NB! Participation of the staff of National Agencies is welcomed and needs to be covered additionally by the respective NA.
