Summary:
This is a project designed for young leaders and youth workers who have special interest in environmental issues, sustainable development and raising a level of general knowledge on ecological challenges in their countries.
Target group: Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Project managers.
For participants from: Belarus, Czech Republic, Georgia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
Group size: 28 participants
Details:
The course will take place in Bakuriani, Georgia, in a mountain resort where participants will experience nature and investigate on local community eco-awareness. For six days, 28 participants will raise their eco-awareness and develop specific knowledge on current environmental issues in the world as well as learning on how to transfer this knowledge to their communities. The specific project objectives are to deepen participants’ understanding on the importance of environmental awareness among young people and their communities, to raise participants’ knowledge on specific issues recognised as threat to the natural environment and building awareness about sustainable development, to develop specific knowledge on how to protect natural environment in daily life and how to transfer this knowledge and skills to local communities. The working language of this course is English, so participants will need to be proficient in their skill level. Participants are also expected to attend the full duration of the events. Our organisation will cover the training fee, participant’s food and accommodation costs, as well as 70% of your travel cost. Costs:
The accommodation, food and working material costs are fully covered by Act Global. Travel costs are covered 70% of total amount of costs per participant. Visa costs for countries that need it are covered 100%. There is no fee for this training course. Please, keep all your receipts, tickets, boarding passes in order to be able to reimburse your costs.
