ARGOMENTO: The general objective of this long term coaching training is to train educators (youth workers, trainers, coaches, teachers,... ) in a non-formal and experiential way in coaching skills and competences that they can implement to support the learning of the (young) people they educate.

For participants from: Belgium - DE, Belgium - FL, Belgium - FR, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway. Group size: 24 participants Details: In-To-Me-See Long Term Coaching Training: 2 trainings and an in between phase aimed at learning coaching skills and techniques usable in a E+:YIA context Coaching as an empowering approach to education and life. Training 1 to learn fundamental coaching skills from 29 November (arrival) till 5 December (departure) 2015 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Training 2 to deepen the learned coaching skills from training 1 and connect them with new skills from 20 till 26 March 2016 in Dilbeek, Belgium. “Coaching is a way of effectively empower people to find their own answers and encourage and support them on their path to make live-giving and life-changing choices.” The general objective of 'In-to-me-see' long term coaching training is to train and empower educators (youth workers, trainers, coaches, teachers,... ) in using coaching skills and competences that are usable in a professional Erasmus+/Youth in Action context and in life in general in a non-formal and experiential way. The essential information: Training 1: Dates: 29 November (arrival) till 5 December (departure) 2015. Venue: Kex hostel, Reykjavík, Iceland. Training 2: Dates: 20 (arrival) till 26 (departure) March 2016. Venue: Oasecentrum, Dilbeek, Belgium. Application deadline: 16 October 2015. Selection results: 19 October 2015. Confirmation date (date when we as a participant expect you to confirm your participation for both trainings): 26 October 2015. Objectives for the Long Term Coaching training The general objective of this long term coaching training is to train educators (youth workers, trainers, coaches, teachers,... ) in a non-formal and experiential way in coaching skills and competences that they can implement to support the learning of the (young) people they educate. During training 1 the trainers together with the participants will create a safe, courageous and supportive non-formal and experiential learning environment to: • learn the fundamentals of coaching in terms of coaching skills and techniques; • experience what coaching is and isn’t and where it can be used; • practice coaching and experience being coached; • reflect and deepen the learning; • exchange about the opportunities and challenges there are for each participant to implement their coaching skills in their professional context in the in between phase; • form a peer community of practice to support each others learning throughout the process. The objectives of the in between phase are that the participants implement what they learned in training 1 in their own educational context. To facilitate this there will be one coaching session with one of the trainers, peer groups to practice coaching skills on each other and a peer group to harvest learning and identify learning needs for training 2. In training 2 the trainers and participants re-establish the safe, courageous and supportive learning environment to: • learn advanced coaching skills like fulfilment (based on values and life purpose) and balance ( based on perspectives and conscious choice) coaching; • practice coaching and experience being coached; • exchange about the opportunities and challenges to implement their learning in their context; • spread the fire about coaching as a way to support learning in the partner organisations and their educational contexts within E+:YiA. Methodology The training methodology will be: • Based on non-formal education principles; • Encourage self-directed learning; • Include reflection; • Rely on peer-to-peer learning and sharing; • Incorporate experiential learning.
